Only 3h30 from Brussels, travelling in the Valley of the Loire
is like travelling in time and travelling in style. After the
TGV ride in first class, including a breakfast, the participants
met at the Domaine de Beauvois. The following items on the programme
were the wonderful gardens of Villandry and the sumptuous castle
of Chenonceaux. Local specialties and stylish dinners complemented
the feeling of being back in the Renaissance … a feeling
that became even stronger after the visit of some wine cellars
and a taste of the wines of the Touraine.
The group stayed at the Domaine de Beauvois, a 16th century property
in a 140 ha forest while for the gala dinner the prestigious castle
of Artigny was chosen.
